Nieuwe Skyrim-patch live op Xbox LIVE

Een nieuwe patch voor The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is vanaf vandaag te downloaden op Xbox LIVE. Deze update zal Skyrim naar versie 1.6 updaten. Het brengt een aantal unieke features met zich mee waaronder Mounted Combat, waardoor het nu mogelijk is om te vechten vanaf een paard. De volledige lijst met de veranderingen is hieronder te lezen:

PC-bezitters kunnen al twee weken aan de slag met de beta, maar nu is de uiteindelijke versie van patch 1.6 vrijgegeven. Zowel Xbox 360-bezitters als Steam-gebruikers kunnen de update nu binnenhalen; mensen die Skyrim spelen op hun PlayStation 3 moeten nog even geduld hebben. Update 1.6 staat spelers toe om vanaf hun paard te vechten met zowel hun zwaard als hun ranged combat-aanvallen. Daarnaast wordt er een waslijst aan bugs verholpen. • Fixed occasional issue where followers would disappear after player pays off a bounty after committing a crime
  
• Fixed issue where certain creatures and NPCs would fail to respawn properly
  
• Fixed rare issue with dialogue subtitles not displaying properly
  
• Fixed issue with water appearing blurry when loading a saved game after creating a save underwater
  
• Fixed issue where map cursor would occasionally disappear after closing a message box with Kinect enabled (Xbox 360)
  
• Fixed rare issue with shouts only performing the first level and not other unlocked levels with Kinect enabled (Xbox 360)
  
• Fixed issue where the shout buttons would stop working properly if users mashed LB and RB during cooldown with Kinect enabled (Xbox 360)

If you’d like to download the 1.6 Beta Update on Steam, you’ll need to follow these steps:

• Log into Steam
  
• Click on Steam in the upper menu
  
• Select Settings
  
• Under the Account tab, go to the Beta Participation section and select Change.
  
• A drop down menu will appear. Select Skyrim Beta.
  
• Select OK.
  
• Steam will now restart. After Steam restarts, Skyrim will be updated to the Beta version currently available.
